The Labor of Love efforts benefit the entire county. As needs are discovered, volunteers from this organization assist in rebuilding homes, perform general home repairs such as plumbing and electrical, or whatever may be required to make the home safer and functional.
YOUR help is needed as a Labor of Love volunteer! If you have a love of woodworking and a few free hours, special assistance is needed as a Site Coordinator. This is an ongoing role that helps to pull all the "parts" together to make each job happen. Click HERE to learn more about the Labor of Love.

The Christian observation of Lent for the year 2020 starts on Wednesday, February 26th and ends on Thursday, April 9 with evening mass on Holy Thursday. Lent is a Christian annual period that starts on Ash Wednesday lasting for 40 days (not Including Sundays) representing the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the wilderness.
During this period leading up to Easter Sunday, we would like to highlight each and every one of the churches in our community and the outreach programs that they offer. In addition to posting their regular services on this website, we will also feature special services on the Events Page.
First and foremost, this website was created to help citizens of Athens connect with each other and sometimes, that means we'll be offering insights into local events, issues, and more.
